Terms & Conditions
You can copy this structure to a "Terms of Service" page on your website. Keep it professional, clear, and firm.
1. Scope of Work
All work is defined by the written estimate/proposal. Any work requested outside of this scope will require a signed Change Order and will be billed at an additional rate.
2. Existing Conditions & Liability
The Contractor is responsible for the application of materials as specified. The Contractor is not liable for the structural integrity of the property. This includes, but is not limited to: failing drywall, rotting wood, foundation shifts, or pre-existing water damage. Any structural failure occurring during or after the project is the sole responsibility of the Property Owner.
3. Unforeseen Conditions
If, upon commencement of work, hidden issues (mold, rot, asbestos, electrical issues) are discovered, work will cease immediately. The Contractor will provide an assessment and a quote for the necessary repairs to resolve the issue before painting/renovation can proceed.
4. Color & Finish Selection
The Client is responsible for final color selection. While the Contractor will provide samples, the Contractor is not responsible for dissatisfaction due to lighting, sheen, or color discrepancies once the client has provided final approval.
5. Site Access & Protection
The Client must provide access to electricity, water, and restrooms. The Client is responsible for removing all furniture, electronics, and fragile items from the workspace. While the Contractor will take reasonable care to mask and cover floors/fixtures, the Contractor is not liable for incidental damage to items left in the workspace.
